Welcome to Birmingham Academy!

Birmingham Academy was incorporated with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) in July 2003, by its first name as Desktop Solutions Business School Pte Ltd. It was then registered with the Ministry of Education as a private school under the Singapore Private Education Act. It changed its name to Birmingham Academy Pte Ltd (Birmingham) in May 2012.

In September 2010, Birmingham has successfully migrated and registered as a Private Education Institution (PEI), under the mandatory Enhanced Registration Framework (ERF) with the Committee for Private Education (CPE).

Today, through Birmingham’s intense marketing and development effort, we are proud to share with you the significant steps we took over the years:
– one of the registered PEI with CPE.

– one of the schools which has Fee Protection Scheme (Insurance) with LONPAC Insurance BHD.

– one of the established schools which provide opportunities for Singaporean and International Students to achieve academic excellence through our preparatory courses and certificate courses.

– providing a wide range of challenging and innovative courses to meet high education standards.

In achieving Birmingham’s vision and mission, students are given a wide range of opportunities acquiring knowledge and excelling themselves in education so that they can achieve success in their life.

We adopt flexible teaching methods in a small classroom size, maintaining a low teacher-students ratio of 1:32 (maximum) to achieve a suitable balance for positive group learning for our students. In addition, students can quickly catch up with listening and speaking skill in an English-speaking environment, laying a firm foundation for later development.

In Birmingham, we provide adequate facilities and care for the students by building a group of professional teams of academic and non-academic staff to provide the students with enriched learning experiences to achieve their excellence in life. Each of our trainers / lecturers is having their expertise in selected programmes. We ensure that all the teaching staffs are not only suitably qualified but are also sensitive to the culture and learning needs of student.

We provide avenues for any student to air his/her grievances or complaints and undertake to resolve them within a maximum period of 21 working days.
